2009 Grant Application and Instructions

The Junior League of Harrisburg, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, to developing the potential of women, and to improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Each spring the Junior League of Harrisburg (JLH) presents one or more grants to local organizations.  These grants vary in amounts from $500 to approximately $ 1,500.  The amounts are determined by the amount available, the grant requests received, and a careful evaluation of need by the League’s Community Outreach Committee.

The deadline for submitting a request is February 20, 2009. JLH will then review the applications, make a decision, and notify all applicants of their status by late April.  Grant recipient organizations will be invited to the League’s May meeting to receive their grant check.  Recipients will also be expected to liaison with the League over the course of the next year or term of the respective project.
